TTM #5: Wade Boggs

Well, I jinxed myself and broke my streak the other day. But a stop at the mailbox yesterday brought back an exciting return from The Chicken Man himself, HOFer Wade Boggs.

I’m particularly happy because this replaces my old TTM success with him, which he signed a glossy 90’s Donruss Elite card in black ballpoint. It dug straight into the card.

Also, I really love these 1992 Score Dream Team shots. I’d love to get the rest of these signed. One’s currently in the mail to Will Clark, but I haven’t ever seen successes from Rob Dibble, and Cal Ripken Jr. would be quite expensive. Mitch Williams and Tom Glavine both have fun cards in it – Glavine’s features him on skates with a hockey stick. 

Wade signs for a very modest donation that goes to a children’s hospital, so definitely take advantage of that.  I wasn’t sure how these would look because of my ballpoint fiasco, but after seeing the nice blue Sharpie I may send to him one more time.
